Winter Beauty and Wonders right here at the Coho -- 01/01/2017

In the Winter we can catch and see many gray whales from mid-December through mid-January as they travel south to the warm lagoons of Baja Mexico, passing in front of Our oceanfront property and many guests grabbing the binoculars we have placed in the rooms to do a bit of whale watching, as it starts the year off this first week of the year and takes place year-round on the Oregon Coast! http://visittheoregoncoast.com/whale-watching/

During the busiest weeks, thousands of gray whales migrate past our windows on their way to and from the waters of Alaska and Mexico. We try to keep watch all year long, as you never know who might swim by. Many species including humpback whales, orcas, dolphins, porpoise and even blue whales have been spotted from our oceanfront rooms by our guests.

Although the whales are a wonder and a sight to see Lincoln city offers quite the offerings starting off the New Year and quite the variety to add to our wonderful little town. Make a point to talk with our guest service Representative to arrange for tickets for whale watching tours, information on Finders keepers and more.
